Mission is expanding. Our DIT, digital dailies and video playback services have never been in greater demand, and to continue offering the same unique level of support, guidance and innovation that we’ve become synonymous with, we’re looking to recruit a new face for our team.
As our equipment and service offerings expand to meet the demands of a booming industry, we’re looking to recruit an Electrical Engineer to join our Field Solutions to maintain and develop our current equipment.

This role will be based at our West London office at Garden Studios NW10.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Mission’s workshop is tasked with building most of our equipment used on productions big and small and covers the gamut of DIT, Digital Dailies and Video Playback equipment. As such, it’s much more than a rental facility, this is the front end of where the digital workflow starts. We work all over the world in some of the most remote locations. This role will suit someone who has been working in a high-tech environment, especially in the Film and TV sector or Broadcast and is looking to further develop their skills. If you have a sharp technical mind and want to work with friendly like-minded people that are always looking to be the cutting edge in a digital media environment, then this is the place for you. Some of the key tasks for this role include but are not limited to:
Creating bespoke solutions for our various equipment that is designed to be deployed in the field to make sure that they are suitable for the workload that the rigs go on a daily basis.
PCB Design and Assembly .
Skilled in utilising microcontrollers; Ability to use IC in a design
Hardware product development with a view to taking from prototype to manufacturing
You will be designing and creating new solutions for video, audio and power hardware
Providing day to day maintenance and repairs of audio-video and power 3rd party hardware.
Maintaining electronics hardware that could involve some testing and board repair to avoid needing to RMA kit where possible, and assisting with RMA when a simple repair is not possible.
Cable making, BNC’s Ethernet, power, audio, etc
Working closely with our technicians in the field and at our HQ by providing field repairs
From time to time you may be asked to provide non-job spec help to other members of staff during peak times.
Skills that are a plus but not deal breakers (but expected to learn)
(circuitry) Wifi and Video and audio transmission over wireless, 4G/5G
Laser cutting and laser engraving
CNC operating knowledge like 3-axis mill or 3d printer
Use of workshop power tools, wood, metal, carbon fibre
Microcontroller Programming
Mission is both fast-paced and forever evolving, and we’re passionate about hiring people who thrive in that environment. The successful candidate will be happy to turn their hand to whatever is needed to help keep things running smoothly. The office rota is designed so that the office is covered between 8am-6pm, however, this job will be a 35 hour contract which means you will be doing 8 hour days. The shift will be flexible and is to be discussed internally with your team. We also have a flexible WFH policy if it's possible to do your job/tasks from home. (For example, you might need to be in one day to use tools, but do design work on a computer from home on another day)
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Knowledge of printed circuit boards and electrical safety standards.
Knowledge of video and sound broadcast technologies
Strong initiative and proactive approach to work. Someone who can bring ideas to the table.

Please note: whilst having experience in the industry is always a bonus, we’re keen to hear from people from all backgrounds and experiences. We encourage people from the TV, Film and Broadcast backgrounds but this is not essential, we are happy to hear from people who have worked in similar technical backgrounds and have transferable skills. What’s important to us is finding a person who can fulfil the above and work with our existing team, whether or not they have industry experience.
