The Bastard Executioner

Penned by the hand that brought you Sons of Anarchy and The Shield, The Bastard Executioner comes roaring onto screens in FX’s most ambitious TV drama project to date. Set in 14th century Wales, the series charts the story of soldier Wilkin Brattle’s rise to infamy as he wields the bloodiest blade of all – the executioner’s sword.

Shooting on location in Bridgend meant braving the elements. Wind, rain and mud were in abundance and equipment was continually refined in order to produce a streamlined solution that held fast, whatever the weather. A second unit kit was also built and additional technicians were on standby to cover all shooting requirements and eventualities.
