The Long Goodbye

As the Winner of Best Live Action Short at the 2022 Academy Awards, 'The Long Goodbye' was inspired by and released alongside Riz Ahmed’s album of the same name, and was created as a wake up call against rising intolerance.

This short shows us an unsettling dystopian future where a British South Asian family go from spending a pleasant day together to being violently rounded up by a gun wielding gang. This immersive and intense short was designed by Riz and director Aneil to be grounded in reality and to paint a version of the future they fear could lay ahead.
