About
Based on a true story, this film follows the inspirational journey of two young sisters, Yusra and Sara Mardini, as they go from fleeing war-torn Syria as refugees all the way to the 2016 Rio Olympics to compete in swimming.
Mission was delighted to provide On Set DIT and Digital Dailies Services to The Swimmers in both the UK and Turkey. Not only did we get to work again with good friend and client Chris Ross BSC, but it also allowed us to play a part in bringing this motivating and deeply moving story to the big screen.
Thomas Patrick was the On Set DIT for the London leg of the shoot, with James Ian Gray operating the Digital Dailies Lab from our Shepperton Studios office. During the Turkey stint, Alex Golding fulfilled On Set DIT Duties and Jerome Smith operated a custom built Near Set Lab.
